Foley Academy provides dancers with many competition resources, so that they are fully informed and ready to take part in Feiseanna. Participating in competitions is a great way to improve your dance technique, movements, and skills. Furthermore, dancers build confidence, motivation, and dedication. Competitions allow dancers to see their hard work pay off while also having fun and making friends with team members and dancers from all around the world.
Competing is NOT required; it is an individual’s choice. Foley Academy dancers interested in competing may register for a competition after receiving approval. More information is provided on the Portal.
We use the word “Feis” to describe an Irish Dance competition. Because the Foley Academy is registered with the CLRG, dancers are able to compete in CLRG sanctioned Feiseanna (plural of Feis).
